PPS Kitchen Cabinet

In March, 2019, Superintendent Steve Cochrane created a panel of school board members, parents and experts to advise and inform him on all things food, from edible school gardens to curricular connections to school meals to sustainable procurement.

One triumph before Dr. Cochrane’s retirement in spring 2020 and the school closures from the pandemic was securing a .4 position for a K-12 Food Systems Literacy Coordinator. The Princeton School Gardens Cooperative has fundraised in support of the position. We are awaiting the arrival of the new superintendent, Dr. Carol Kelley –– and what we can build together.
